As of 25 May 2024, NSFAS TVET college beneficiaries will start to receive their allowances
directly from NSFAS through a bank account of their choice.
Do not use the previous
NSFAS Direct Payment Black card
NSFAS has devised a payment mechanism to address
the ongoing allowance payment challenges through its internal banker.
The bank account should
belong to you.
We strongly advise all applicants and beneficiaries to always safeguard their personal information
and banking details.

All TVET college students funded by NSFAS can now receive their allowances through a bank account of their choice with any bank!
NSFAS urgently requires all TVET college beneficiaries to provide their personal banking details to receive allowances directly into their bank accounts with a bank of their choice as of 25 May 2024.

Students whose funding has been approved will be able to submit their details and students whose registration data has been received will receive payments.
To submit their banking details, students should log onto their myNSFAS account and select the option to upload banking details.

Do not provide details of an inactive bank account.

Step by Step guidelines
Here’s how you can submit your bank details to receive
allowances from NSFAS

Step 1:
Visit "www.nsfas.org.za" and click on the “myNSFAS portal” section.

Step 2:
Log in using your myNSFAS account username and password.

Step 3:
Once logged in, click on the "bank account details" option under the ‘Profile Information’ section.

Step 4:
Fill in your banking details from a bank of your choice.

Step 5:
Click on the "save" button.

NSFAS will verify the submitted banking details with your bank for successful submission.
